PLAY. STREAM. MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
You can change a child’s life
Every time you go live, you help kids who’ve lost a military parent find hope and healing through gaming.
What It’s All About:
The MISSION
Gold Star Gamers connects the healing power of play with the families who need it most — children grieving the loss of a military parent.
When you stream, host a gaming challenge, or rally your community, every dollar you raise gives our kids access to mentorship, tech gear, tournaments, and moments of joy they thought were gone for good.
You bring the passion. We bring the mission.
Together, we play for purpose.
Why it matters:
The IMPACT
For our military community’s surviving children, gaming isn’t just entertainment — it’s connection, confidence, and a safe space to belong again.
Your support helps us:
- Deliver gaming setups to children of fallen heroes
- Host community tournaments and mentorship programs
- Build inclusive, healing environments through play
Every stream, every dollar, every player helps rebuild hope one game at a time.
How You Make A Difference:
The CALL TO ACTION
When you fundraise for Gold Star Gamers, you’re doing more than supporting a cause — you’re restoring laughter and light to lives dimmed by loss.
Start your campaign. Stream for good. Earn exclusive Gold Star Gamer rewards, climb the leaderboard, and show the world what it means to Game with Honor.
Because every time you play, a child gets to smile again.

FUNDRAISING FAQs
When can I fundraise for Gold Star Gamers?
Anytime. There’s no “campaign season” gatekeeping here. You can sign up, fundraise, and host a gaming event whenever it works for you.
Who can participate?
Anyone age 13 and up can host and set up a charity gaming event online. Participants and viewers can be any age.
Do I have to stream?
Nope. Streaming is optional. You can play games, raise awareness, and fundraise without ever going live. Social media, Discord, group chats, and word-of-mouth all count—use whatever gets your people involved.
How do I stream if I want to?
You can stream on platforms like Twitch, YouTube, or Facebook—your call.
If you’re new to streaming, Twitch has a solid starter guide with clear how-to instructions to get you up and running.
When you create a fundraising campaign, you’ll have the option to add your Twitch ID. That embeds your channel directly into your campaign page. You can remove it at any time.
Just a heads-up: streaming may require extra hardware or software and uses more data than gaming offline.
What games can I play?
Pretty much anything that brings people together:
- Video games
- Board games
- Card games
- Tabletop or party games
- Backyard or IRL games
We ask that video games be rated ESRB “Teen” or lower. Content that’s clearly inappropriate or objectionable isn’t allowed and may result in removal from the program.
What can I do during my event?
You can run your charity event however you like, with a few baseline expectations:
- No profanity, sexually explicit, or bigoted language or visuals
- No playing while intoxicated
- No illegal drugs or paraphernalia
If you wouldn’t feel good playing it in front of a Gold Star family, don’t play it here. Keep it respectful.
